Talk scrubby to me

January may have felt like a year long, but with February lasting just about a minute, summer is not too far from knocking on our doors. While hair gets lighter and skin gets tanner, there isn’t much opportunity to hide flakiness under your cosy cashmere jumper.

We found that introducing body scrubs into our skincare regime once or twice a week is a great way to treat dull, dry skin and to help to keep our pesky ingrown hairs at bay. Last, but certainly not least-it also turns our bodies into an irresistible canvas for a smooth spray tan.

Since we’re all friends here,  we decided to find a few body exfoliators that might even change TLC’s mind about not wanting any scrubs.

  1. Kiehl’s body scrub, price: £32.00

Kiehl’s skincare is scientifically designed to achieve healthier, glowing skin Their body scrub always has our backs.

The mix of chamomile, aloe vera and apricot seed creates a creamy, gentle exfoliator catering to all skin types. The scrub comes with three different scents, but we specially recommend grapefruit for a nice, refreshing finish.

2. Frank body’s Original coffee scrub, price: £13

While this Australian coffee scrub certainly works magic, you have to be willing to get a liiiittle dirty to get clean. The brand uses almond oil, vitamin E and sea salt to nourish the skin and its coffee grounds act as an exfoliator (and the sole reason for our cravings for a cuppa’ joe).

Lastly, here’s a little tip if you need a quick fix and don’t have a body scrub at hand. Mix white sugar (or brown…whatever floats your boat) with a little water in your hand and apply to your face/body with gentle circular motions. Add some essentials oils (patch test first) to jazz up the smell, though we recommend leaving it out if you have sensitive skin.

price: you probably already have this in your cupboard anyways

There you go!! Pamper yourself!!

But fair warning- you might not want to wear any clothes again…
