Gram Flour; food for your skin

Here at the Inava Pavani team, we believe in old skincare techniques. Within Indian households there is a particular skincare routine passed on for generations (a grandmothers recipe). A secret ingredient to glowing, even skin that can tackle acne, dry, clogged skin. Not only applicable to oily skin- this sneaky ingredient caters to all skin types.  

 

Here's what you'll need:

FOR DRY SKIN ONLY: 

  1. 1 tbsp of Yogurt
  2. 1 1/2 to 2 tbsp Gram Flour
  3. A pinch of turmeric powder
  4. One tsp of Honey

FOR OILY/COMBINATION SKIN ONLY: 

  1. Two tablespoons of Gram flour 
  2. Four tablespoons of Rose water

DRY

Step 1: Mix all the ingredients in a small dish until smooth (a paste). 

Step 2: To use as a scrub, apply all over the face in circular motions (to exfoliate) and leave on for 5 minutes. As a face pack/mask- leave on for 15-20 minutes (for deeper pore cleansing).

Step 3: Wash with cool water then pat dry with a damp face towel.

Step 4: For best results, repeat this process once a week. 

OILY:

Step 1: Mix the ingredients together to create a smooth paste. 

Step 2: Apply to your face AND your neck; allow it to dry for 15-20 minutes

Step 3: Wash your face mask off with cool water using circular motions, and pat your skin dry. Et Voila!
